Scarlett is the perfect adventure dog in every way. She's got great manners, is super smart and trainable, and very sporty. She's got a big dog personality in a body that can't counter surf - what more could you want? Scarlett already knows "Sit" and walks well on the leash. She's a big fan of playtime, snuggling, and doling out lots of kisses.
Scarlett is a one year old American Bulldog/Bassett Hound mix. This lowrider girl is a bit different than the other dogs that have been featured, because she is not up for adoption, she is up for rescue/a foster home.
What does that mean? She needs someone affiliated with a dog rescue to choose to be her foster parent. Fostering means you take care of the dog, but the rescue pays their medical expenses and for food. It's a win-win because you can spring a dog from the shelter and their expenses are paid for. You can always choose to adopt her yourself, but your usual job as a foster parent is to give the dog a good home until someone decides to adopt them and give them a forever home.
Anyways, back to Scarlett. The only reason she is not adoptable through DAS is her bad kennel presentation. Other than that, she's perfect. She's not a big fan of being cooped up, like any good adventure dog, and her bark makes her sound kind of scary. Not a good formula for someone picking her out on the adoption floor.
